The posting matrix contains all combinations of business posting groups and product posting groups . This is where the "wiring" to the general ledger accounts takes place.

For example, the sales department has successfully acquired a new customer and entered the first order into the system. After the delivery has taken place, this sales order is posted and thus moved to the archive.
